Seven people died and 45 were injured after a bus fell off a cliff in Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday night.
In Bhakarapet in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, a bus fell of a cliff and into a ravine around 11.30 pm on Saturday. As a result, seven people died and 45 were injured. The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Bhakarapet is located only 25 kilometres away from the temple town of Tirupati.

The Superintendent of Police in Tirupati said, "The accident happened as the bus fell off the cliff due to driver's negligence. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital."
The private bus was carrying a wedding party of 52 people from Dharmavaram in Anantapur district to a village near Nagari in Chittoor. The bus was on its way via Ghat Road when it fell into the Aduputappi valley.

As per the Bill, those involved in unlawful conversions on the pretext of marriage will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and shall also be liable for a fine of Rs 1 lakh. Violations in respect of a minor, a person of unsound mind, a woman or a person belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and a fine of Rs 5 lakh.
