Amid the growing chorus for filling 6,000 vacant posts of assistant teachers, the Yogi Adityanath government has announced a list of a third district-wise list of selected candidates on June 26. The list will contain names of the selected candidates who have qualified for the assistant teachers' recruitment exam held to appoint 69,000 assistant teachers in primary and upper primary schools of the basic education department. For the unversed, at least 6,000 posts of assistant teachers in the state education department are lying vacant despite two rounds of counselling held last year. The decision of the CM came after thousands of applicants gathered at the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) on Tuesday.
