Through a citizens initiative, 42 ulemas from Mumbai have enrolled for graduate and preparatory courses from Yashwant Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU). This will be an opportunity for religious scholars graduating from religious schools, Imam of masjids, and teachers of madrasas to complete their modern education at a government-approved university in Maharashtra.
