
38 universities can offer online degree courses now, says UGC

UGC announced that 38 universities can now offer online degree courses.
UGC has approved 38 universities to offer full-fledged online degree courses in India. These universities, which include 15 deemed-to-be universities, 13 state universities, three central universities, and three private universities, do not need to get prior approval from University Grants Commission from the same. Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) will be offering MA (Education) and MA (Public Administration), JNU will offer MA (Sanskrit), while Mizoram University will offer four online degree programmes. Jammu University will offer MA (English) and MCom in online mode. Deemed-to-be institutes such as Narsee Monjee Institute Of Management Studies will offer Bachelor Of Commerce And Bachelor Of Business Administration; and Jain deemed-to-be university will offer seven postgraduate courses including MA Economics and MA English and two undergraduate ones -- Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Business Administration.More Related News
