Three students of the Madanur Government school, in the Ambur area of Tirupathur district have been suspended after a video of them abusing and trying to attack their teacher went viral on social media.
Three students have been suspended after a video of them abusing and trying to attack their teacher went viral on social media. The incident happened at the Madanur Government school, in the Ambur area of Tirupathur district when a Botany teacher, Sanjay Gandhi, asked Class 12 students to submit their record books.
A boy identified as Mari, who was part of the class, was seen sleeping and the teacher questioned the boy for the same. Irked, the student started hurling obscenities at the teacher. He was even seen raising his hands to attack the teacher.
The video further shows a second student also coming over to the teacher's desk to attack him. The video which was recorded by a fellow student has now gone viral.
Soon after the incident came to light, revenue officers, RDO and police officials reached the spot. After questioning the teacher and the students, the two students seen in the video and the third student who is considered to be an accomplice in the incident have all been suspended.
Meanwhile, a notice has also been put up in the school that Mari should not attend classes till a parents' teachers association meeting is conducted and the course of action against him is decided.
