260 kg heroin worth Rs 1,300 crore seized from Gujarat’s Kandla port

The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), jointly intercepted a container at Kandla port in the Kutch district and recovered 260 kg of heroin worth Rs 1,300 crore.

In a joint operation of Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), 260 kg of heroin was seized from the Kandla port in the Kutch district of Gujarat.

The estimated price of the seized drugs on the international market is around Rs 1,300 crore.

Gujarat ATS had received information that the drugs were being transported to India in containers.

Acting on a tip-off, the ATS and DRI jointly recovered the said drugs from a container.
