2022 MG Gloster launched at Rs 31.99 lakh

MG's Fortuner rival gets new alloys for the AWD variant, a new colour, feature additions to the ADAS and reshuffle to the trim levels.
MG Motor India has launched the new updated 2022 Gloster, with minor cosmetic tweaks and some feature additions at Rs 31.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has made changes to the trims as well, discontinuing the Smart trim.
The 2022 MG Gloster gets a new 18-inch which has been inspired by British Windmill turbines, but these are only available on the AWD variants. There's a new exterior shade as well, the ‘Deep Golden’ which makes the total number of colours to four.
On the features front, the ADAS package has been updated. There is a new Door Open Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Lane Change Assist. MG’s i-Smart connected tech now gets new Hinglish voice commands, taking the total to 135 commands. The system which previously was only compatible with Apple smartwatches can now also be paired to Android smartwatches. The MapmyIndia sourced Navigation gets real time weather and AQI information, along with a ‘Discover App’ that makes searching for hotels and restaurants easier. Other features of the 2022 MG Gloster include a dual panoramic electric sunroof, a 12-way power adjust driver seat, driver seat massage and ventilation feature, and wireless charging.

With its 2WD and 4WD trims, powerful engine options, next-gen technology, Autonomous Level 1 and MY MG Shield Package, the ‘Advanced Gloster’ is designed to delight and excite our new-age customer. We are actively addressing the supply chain issues through efforts such as additional localisation to ensure improvement in production. We hope to double our Gloster sales with this launch.”
The 2022 MG Gloster remains mechanically unchanged, and is offered with a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel motor which produces 163bhp and comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The 2.0-litre twin turbocharged diesel motor produces 218bhp and comes mated to the same 8-speed transmission. The 218bhp motor is offered only with AWD while the 163bhp motor comes with 2WD.
There are three trims on offer, with a 6-seater reserved for the top-trim.
