“Market Opportunity” & “Necessity” significant factors driving women entrepreneurs in TN: IIT Researchers

This study was conducted from September to December 2019 among women entrepreneurs representing MSMEs in Tamil Nadu.
Researchers at IIT Madras have found that "Market Opportunity" & "Necessity" are significant factors driving women entrepreneurs in Tamil Nadu. It also revealed that economic motivations are not the primary reasons to venture into entrepreneurship. The research was conducted to understand why women entrepreneurs chose the path of entrepreneurship and continue along their path.
