On Tuesday, the district reported 365 daily Covid-19 cases, but most infection-prone areas reported less than 10 cases, pointing to the fact that the pandemic virus was losing its footprint.
The slowing down of the spread of the virus was clearly visible in the district in the last three weeks with a drop in daily infections.
Vijay Nagar and Mhow reported a maximum of nine new cases each, while in Sudama Nagar eight cases were detected. Six infections each were reported from Betma, Depalpur and Sterling Skyline.
The new infections were reported at a positivity rate of 4.09 per cent. Meanwhile, the district on Tuesday reported three Covid-19 deaths for the second time in a row, taking the toll to 1,451.
