YSRCP's Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy emphasizes grassroots outreach and a clear stance on capital issues and development initiatives.
YSRCP State coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy on Friday directed the regional coordinators, district presidents, MLAs, and senior leaders to intensify grassroots outreach and sharpen the party’s focus on key political and public issues, while strengthening its organisational structure.
Addressing them through a video-conference, Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy claimed that the YSRCP “maintains a clear and consistent stand on the capital issue.”
He alleged that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu lacked the intent to complete Amaravati and was using it for financial gain.
“In contrast, the growth corridor model linking Machilipatnam, Vijayawada, and Guntur (MAVIGUN), proposed by YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, is practical, cost-effective, and development-oriented,” Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy said.
He also raised concern over the functioning of the TTD, alleging that the actions of its Chairman B.R. Naidu were undermining the sanctity of Tirumala.
He asked YSRCP leaders to perform special prayers in temples on April 4 and mobilise public opinion to demand the Chairman’s removal.

At Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, flight operations were halted for a few hours as the centuries-old Arattu procession of the Painguni festival crossed the runway en route to Shangumugham Beach. The ritual, linked to the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, marks the ceremonial sea bath of the deity, drawing thousands every year and showcasing Kerala’s unique blend of tradition and modern life.
