Bollywood actress Yami Gautam and former Lt Puducherry Governor Kiran Bedi crossed paths at a Goa festival. Yami, who is garnering praise from all quarters for playing IPS Jyoti Deswal in Dasvi, had a fan-girl moment when she met Kiran Bedi. She recalled her Chandigarh days and wrote a heartwarming note for the former top cop. Bedi responded to her with the sweetest message on Twitter.

Yami Gautam recently met former Lt Puducherry Governor Kiran Bedi at a Goa event. Taking to Instagram, the Dasvi actress penned a heartfelt note on social media, also sharing a photo of their meeting. Recalling her Chandigarh days, Yami wrote, “My fan-girl moment with one of my strongest inspirations since I was a little girl growing up in Chandigarh! I shall never forget how an already well planned city transformed further for the best, when ma’am got posted there ! Door to door cops used to visit every home & ensure our safety! Strict night patrolling was introduced even in the most remotest parts of the city ! It was truly an honour meeting Dr Bedi yesterday at #goafest2022 (sic).”

Former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Kiran Bedi not only retweeted Yami Gautam’s post but also replied to her on Twitter. It could be read, “You were very generous Yami @Yamigautam The @livegoafest gave us an opportunity to meet and express our true admiration for each other. Wish you abundance in all respects (sic).”
