Xiaomi is the latest smartphone OEM to introduce RAM expansion technology to its smartphone lineup. Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G being the first in the category, will now get an extended RAM thanks to it.
After Vivo featured its extended RAM technology on several of its smartphones, Xiaomi seems to be joining the bandwagon. The Chinese tech major has recently rolled out an update for Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G that brings the virtual RAM feature to the device. For those unaware, extended or virtual RAM is meant to maintain the processing speed of a smartphone under heavy use. When the RAM is occupied in its entirety, the virtual RAM feature kicks in to allot a part of the device’s storage as a memory. In Vivo devices, an 8GB RAM then functions as an 11GB RAM and so on for other memory variants.More Related News
