India Today
Know all about how a venture named Project Balika is helping female students from low-income and high-risk areas have an equal chance at gaining a quality education.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2021, the world remembers and recognises the achievements of females in various fields, but we fail to remember that around the world, over 130 million girl students are currently out of school, mostly due to economic reasons. This Women’s Day, India Today was in talks with Jasmine Bala, Founder and Director, and Vishvesh Verma, Director of Fundraising and Strategic Partnerships, of Project Balika, an initiative launched to help girl students from low-income families seek the education they deserve. In India, over 30 per cent of girl students drop out of school every year, most commonly due to financial reasons and Project Balika aims to change this statistic by helping these students build a diverse skillset through their educational programmes.
Students who appeared for the Bihar School Examination Board Class 12 exams can now access their results through multiple platforms, including the India Today Board Results page for smoother and quicker access. With heavy traffic expected on official websites, this alternative option ensures students can check their scores without delays or technical glitches.
