
Woman brutally assaulted by live-in partner in Gurugram, FIR registered

Gurugram man faces FIR for allegedly burning his live-in partner's private parts with sanitiser in a brutal attack.
In a horrific case of brutality in Gurugram, a man poured sanitiser on a 19-year-old woman and tried to set her on fire.
The victim is currently admitted to a hospital in Delhi.
The case of extreme cruelty occurred in the Badshahpur police station area of Gurugram. FIR was registered against Shivam, after he allegedly tried to set his live-in partner on fire after pouring sanitiser on her and recorded a video during the act.
The police have registered a case under serious sections and started an investigation. Sections 115, 118(1), 118(2), 127(2), 69 and 351(2) of BNS have been invoked in the FIR. The FIR was filed on February 19, 2026, at 8:35 p.m.
The FIR, registered based on her statement, states that he was having a physical relationship with her under the pretext of marriage, thrashing her and subjecting her to violence.
According to the FIR, the victim is originally from Tripura and was living in a PG facility in Sector-69, Gurugram, while pursuing a B.Sc. in Biotechnology. The victim, a student, met Shivam from Narela, Delhi, through an online app and they began talking in September 2025, which later led to meetings.
