Ethnic rally marks inauguration of ‘VITOPIA-2026’ festivities at VIT-A.P.

VITOPIA-2026 kicks off at VIT-A.P. with a vibrant ethnic rally showcasing cultural diversity and student talent.

VITOPIA-2026, a four-day annual sports and cultural festival unfolded on VIT-A.P. University campus on Saturday. The event, being organised on a grand scale, promises a spectacular showcase of talent, sporting spirit and cultural diversity.

“Vasudaikam”, a massive state-wise ethnic rally, where students representing various States across the country, including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and the northeastern States, besides from countries like Sri Lanka, Nepal, Ghana and Cameroon participated in traditional attire. The campus transformed into a vibrant spectacle as participants performed regional dances.

Vice-chancellor of VIT-A.P. University P. Arulmozhivarman emphasised the importance of holistic development. ‘VIT-A.P. University has always been a place where students are encouraged to explore beyond academics. Events like VITOPIA-2026 provide a platform for students to express their creativity and hone their leadership skills,” he said.

Registrar Jagadish Chandra Mudiganti spoke about the collaborative effort behind the festival. “The energy witnessed today during the Vasudaikam rally is a testament to the vibrant campus life we cultivate here. VITOPIA is not just a festival; it is a bridge that connects different cultures and disciplines,” he said.

VITOPIA convener Gopi Krishnan, Deputy Director of Student Welfare Khadeer Pasha, University faculty, staff and a large gathering of enthusiastic students were part of the festival.
