With 84,332 Covid cases, India sees lowest daily rise in 70 days; 4,002 deaths in 24 hours

The new cases registered in the last 24 hours on Saturday is the lowest daily rise India has seen in 70 days. The top five states which registered the maximum cases are Tamil Nadu with 15,759 cases, followed by Kerala with 14,233 cases, Maharashtra with 11,766 cases, Karnataka with 8,249 cases and Andhra Pradesh.

India on Saturday registered 84,332 new cases and 4,002 deaths in the last 24 hours. This is the lowest number of daily cases that the country has reported in the last 70 days, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare data. The total number of cases in the country has risen to 2,93,59,155, while the death toll has gone up to 3,67,081. The top five states which registered the maximum cases are Tamil Nadu with 15,759 cases, followed by Kerala with 14,233 cases, Maharashtra with 11,766 cases, Karnataka with 8,249 cases and Andhra Pradesh with 8,239 cases. 69.07 per cent of the new cases were reported from these five states, with Tamil Nadu alone responsible for 18.69 per cent.
