Will work on solving issues of drug addiction, unemployment, says newly sworn-in Punjab minister

Following his induction into the Punjab cabinet, AAP MLA Dr Vijay Singla said that the party will have to work on issues such as drug addiction and unemployment that are yet to be resolved in the state.
Ten Aam Aadmi Party MLAs were sworn-in as cabinet ministers in Punjab on Saturday, March 19. Following his induction into the Punjab cabinet, Dr Vijay Singla said that the AAP government will work on solving several issues such as drug addiction and unemployment that are yet to be resolved in Punjab.
The newly sworn-in minister added that the AAP, which swept the recently concluded Punjab Assembly elections, will need the Opposition’s support to make progress in the state.
"There are various issues of drug addiction, unemployment that are yet to be solved and we will have to work on all these issues. We will be requiring opposition's support if we have to progress in Punjab," Dr Vijay Singla was quoted as saying by ANI.
Days after Bhagwant Mann took oath as the new Chief Minister of Punjab, 10 AAP MLAs were sworn in as cabinet ministers in Chandigarh on Saturday. Governor Banwarilal Purohit administered the oath of office and secrecy to the 10 ministers at a ceremony at the Guru Nanak Dev auditorium in Punjab Raj Bhawan in Chandigarh.

CM Bhagwant Mann chaired his first cabinet meeting with the newly inducted ministers on Saturday. In its first meeting, the Punjab cabinet led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann approved 25,000 government jobs in state departments, boards and corporations.
"The Punjab cabinet has approved notification of 25,000 job vacancies within one month. As we promised before the election, job opportunities for our Punjab's youth will be the topmost priority of AAP government," Bhagwant Mann said in a tweet.
