BJP president Annamalai accepts Udhayanidhi Stalin's challenge, vows to visit Anna Salai and respond in kind.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president K. Annamalai said that he accepts the challenge of Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin and will visit Anna Salai next week, on Thursday.
The BJP president participated in a marriage function of a BJP functionary in Salem and later addressed the reporters.
Listing the words used by Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin against AIADMK, BJP, PMK leaders and responding to his challenge to come to Anna Salai in Chennai, Mr. Annamalai said that BJP will respond in the same language used by Mr. Udhayanidhi. “The DMK may fix the date and time when I come to Anna Salai I will come alone. The DMK may use police force to stop me. If the DMK is tweeting “Get Out Modi”, tomorrow (Friday) at 6 a.m., I will tweet as “Get Out Stalin” and will see which will trend across the country”. The ADGP Law and Order allegedly claims crime against women and children has increased but the Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is lying about the law and order situation, Mr. Annamalai added.
Stating that Tamil Nadu people are in favour of the three language system and new education policy, Mr. Annamalai said that the Deputy Chief Minister alleged the Union government was imposing Hindi. The number of students joining private schools and the number of CBSE schools in the State is increasing. The BJP bats for a three language policy and the third language should be Indian language. The Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin while addressing the media claimed that the government was giving free uniforms, shoes and providing food. Mr. Udhayanidhi is not giving this using their family money and it is from people’s tax money, Mr. Annamalai charged.
Stating that the Union Government provides funds to Tamil Nadu for education, Mr. Annamalai said that for one month long Kumbh Mela 70 crore people taking part and BJP was handling it well while DMK government was unable to handle the crowd for airshow in Chennai. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will come to power in 2026 and eradicate drugs with an iron hand in Tamil Nadu. “While we demand police to control crimes, the parents also should monitor their children. Similarly good teachings of every religion should be taught to the children in educational institutions apart from other subjects”.
