Will file defamation case against Amit Malviya, Manoj Tiwari: Sanjay Singh

Sanjay Singh to file defamation cases against BJP leaders for spreading falsehoods, undermining dignity of Purvanchalis.

Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh said that he will file defamation cases against Bharatiya Janata Party leaders Amit Malviya and Manoj Tiwari for spreading falsehoods to defame his family as part of a larger BJP strategy to malign Purvanchalis and undermine their dignity.

Addressing a press conference, Mr. Singh said that he would file a defamation case against both of them, bring them to court, and they would have to answer each and every allegation they have made. “Amit Malviya and Manoj Tiwari will have to face justice for the lies they have spread and the way they have insulted me and my family, including my wife,” he said. 

Mr. Singh said that he had informed the media on Sunday that the BJP was trying to delete his wife’s name from the voter list of New Delhi Assembly constituency. 

“After that, the BJP’s ‘cell of lies’ became active, bombarding the public with falsehoods. In this entire affair, one of our honorable MPs, Manoj Tiwari, has also joined in,” he said. 

The AAP leader alleged that Mr. Malviya, who heads the BJP’s IT cell, has no choice but to lie. “I don’t blame him, he is forced to propagate lies because he runs that IT cell on lies. But a three-time elected MP like Manoj Tiwari is spreading lies, claiming that my wife’s voter ID is still registered in Sultanpur, which is my ancestral home.”

“That ancestral house, the one that is our family residence, is being falsely claimed as the address where my wife’s voter ID is registered. Do you also want to throw us out of our family home? We will not let the Purvanchalis in Delhi be disrespected. My wife is from Jaunpur, from Purvanchal, and we will keep fighting against this,” he said. 

Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva and former MP Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma held a press conference and alleged that AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal has been caught enrolling fake voters in New Delhi and now his frustration is clearly visible to the people of Delhi.
