Who is David Malinowski, the man behind Kangana Ranaut’s makeup in Emergency?

Kangana Ranaut shared the first look and teaser of her upcoming film Emergency. In the film, she will be seen playing the role of India’s first female prime minister, Indira Gandhi. Her uncanny resemblance to Ms Gandhi has been causing quite a stir on social media. The prosthetic makeup used for Kangana’s Emergency look was done by renowned makeup artist David Malinowski.

David Malinowski is a well-known makeup artist who has won several awards internationally as well. He is a BAFTA and Oscar winning artist who started his career in 1996. David won the award for film makeup and hair in 2018 at the BAFTA Film Awards. He also won the award for Best Makeup and hairstyling for his 2017 film Darkest Hour.

Apart from this, he has been acclaimed for his work in World War Z, The Batman. A look at his social media gives us a glimpse of how passionate David is about his work. He spent almost 10 years working for Madame Tussauds in London before he went to pursue his career in films.

A while back, Kangana had shared a few pictures of herself with David on Instagram.

Emergency is being made under Kangana's production banner, Manikarnika Films. Emergency is written by Ritesh Shah, who also wrote her last project, Dhaakad.
