Vosloo takes on the role of Sir Theodore Hector, a British Raj officer and the antagonist in Ranabaali. This marks his first appearance in an Indian film, broadening his global portfolio. The historical narrative aims to capture a significant era of British-ruled India, with Vosloo's casting regarded as a notable addition to the ensemble.
Arnold Vosloo's early life was steeped in theater and performance, growing up in Pretoria, South Africa. His parents were actors on stage, and his father also ran a drive-in cinema in Alberton, Gauteng. After finishing high school and serving in the military, Vosloo pursued drama studies at Technikon Pretoria, setting the stage for his future in acting.
Vosloo's career began on stage before he appeared in South African films such as Boetie Gaan Border Toe (1984). His relocation to the United States in the late 1980s proved pivotal, as he gained international recognition.
