Actor Shanaya Kapoor has revealed details of a past relationship in which she caught her then-boyfriend messaging several other women. The revelation came during her appearance on the podcast.
Actor Shanaya Kapoor has opened up about a difficult and unexpected episode from her past relationship. She shared that she caught her former boyfriend messaging five other women while they were vacationing abroad.
Speaking recently on the podcast Relationshit Advice, she described how she first believed she was experiencing the ideal romance, only to be confronted by betrayal during what seemed like an ordinary evening.
Reflecting on her experience, Shanaya said, “I was thinking, ‘This is it. It’s too good to be true. What a life, wow. This is the best relationship.’” However, the sense of security was short-lived as events took an unexpected turn.
The pivotal moment occurred as the couple prepared to go out for dinner. Shanaya’s phone had run out of battery, so she asked to use her boyfriend’s device to book a cab. While unlocking his phone, she noticed a message notification from his ex-girlfriend. Curious and increasingly uneasy, she opened the chat and found what she described as inappropriate exchanges.
Shanaya’s initial discovery quickly escalated. She recounted, “The second girl popped up, the third girl, the fourth, the fifth. There were five girls he was messaging,” explaining that he was communicating with each as though he were single. The extent of the messages left her in disbelief and prompted her to seek immediate guidance from friends.
In a state of shock, Shanaya took screenshots of the conversations and sent them to her close friends via Snapchat for advice. Among those she reached out to was actor Ananya Panday. According to Shanaya, Ananya urged her to leave the situation immediately and come to her, as they were relatively close by. However, being in a foreign country, Shanaya felt uncertain about her options and vulnerable far from home.
