Those who get Supplemental Security Income benefits will get their check for March 2026 a few days early.
Those who get Supplemental Security Income checks will get their March payments a bit early.
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments are typically issued on the first day of the month, but payments go out early when the first calendar day of the month is a weekend or a holiday. March payments will go out Feb. 27, because March 1 lands on Sunday, according to the Social Security Administration’s calendar.
It's not an unusual situation. Last month, February SSI checks went out on Friday, Jan. 30, because Feb. 1 fell on a Sunday.
Nearly 7.4 million Americans currently get monthly SSI payments, according to the agency.
