When Bappi Lahiri left Salman Khan in splits with his sense of humour on Bigg Boss 15

Bappi Lahiri passed away on February 15 at a Mumbai hospital. The legendary singer and music composer had appeared on Bigg Boss 15 last year where left host Salman Khan in splits.

Bappi Lahiri breathed his last on February 15 at a Mumbai hospital. He was not keeping well after testing Covid positive last year. The legendary singer and music composer had appeared on Colors TV's Bigg Boss 15 where he left everyone, including host Salman Khan, in splits with his sense of humour. Bappi Da had appeared on the show with his grandson Swastik on Bigg Boss 15 Weekend Ka Vaar episode on October 17. They were on the show to promote the launch of Swastik’s new song, Baccha Party.

Salman Khan welcomed Bappi Lahiri on Bigg Boss 15. On the show, Salman was shared that it was Bappi Da's first time on BB. He said, "Pehli baar Bappi da aaye hain Bigg Boss me. Bahut kam log jaante hain ki Bappi da ka actual naam Alokesh hai (This is the first time you have visited Bigg Boss. Not many know that Bappi da’s actual name is Alokesh).”

To which Bappi Lahiri joked, “My son’s name is Arunesh. Iske baad jo bhi hoga (the one to be born next will be named), suitcase,” leaving Salman Khan in splits.

Apart from Bigg Boss 15, Bappi Lahiri has also appeared on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and Indian Idol.

Bappi Lahiri ruled the music industry for several years. He gave hits such as I am a Disco Dancer, Raat Baaki, Pagg Ghoongroo, Bambai Se Aaya Mera Dost, Naino Main Sapna, O Taaki Taaki and Humko Aaj Kal Hain Intezaar, among many others.

Bappi Lahiri breathed his last at around 11.45 pm on February 15. He is survived by two children - a son, Bappa Lahiri, and a daughter, Rema Lahiri. Since Bappa is in the US, the family is waiting for his arrival. He will perform Bappi Lahiri's last rites. Bappa is married to Taneesha Lahiri, daughter of action director Mahendra Verma.
