WhatsApp users have always clamoured for a native app on the iPad but now they might get it soon. WhatsApp head Will Cathcart confirmed during an interview that the Meta-owned messaging app is finally considering a native app for iPad. Users have clamoured for an iPad app for the longest time. Many times the traces of WhatsApp working on an iPad app were also spotted by tippers but nothing concrete ever came out of those leaks and rumours. WhatsApp may have halted the process in the past, but now it seems more determined than ever to launch an app for the iPad.
Talking about the iPad app, WhatsApp Head Will Cathcart told The Verge, “People have wanted an iPad app for a long time. We’d love to do it.” Cathcart suggested that the app would be available in the near future because the underlying technology needed for the app has already been built by WhatsApp.“We did a lot of work on the technology for supporting multiple devices. Our website and our desktop apps now have that. If I have a multi-device on, I can turn my phone off or lose my network connection and still get messages on my desktop. That would be really important for a tablet app, to be able to use the app even if your phone isn’t on. So the underlying technology is there,” Cathcart said.
With the multi-device feature now available to users, it has become a lot easier to switch between devices and you do not even need an active internet connection to do that. For instance, WhatsApp has now made it easier for users to log in to their computer and smartphone at the same time without requiring a phone with an active internet connection. Previously, it was not possible to log in to your PC without keeping the phone near the computer. Users can also log in to four devices using a single WhatsApp account.
On a related note, WhatsApp was recently spotted testing the chat import feature from Android to iOS. The WhatsApp features tracker Wabetainfo shared screenshots of the Android to iOS migration feature. Currently, WhatsApp lets iPhone users transfer their chat history from iOS to Samsung and Pixel phones only. It will also enable the feature for the phones running Android 12.

Students who appeared for the Bihar School Examination Board Class 12 exams can now access their results through multiple platforms, including the India Today Board Results page for smoother and quicker access. With heavy traffic expected on official websites, this alternative option ensures students can check their scores without delays or technical glitches.
