A new feature was recently spotted that would allow users to set covers on WhatsApp profiles. The feature is being designed for business accounts. The feature is expected to enhance the WhatsApp catalog.
As per Wabetainfo, WhatsApp users will soon get the feature to set cover photos for their profiles. However, this feature will only be limited to the WhatsApp Business accounts it will not be possible for standard user accounts. The report says that the feature is enabled for beta testers, and there will be some changes in your business profile settings.
The screenshot revealed by Wabetainfo reveals that WhatsApp is also planning to introduce a new camera button in your Business Settings. You can select a photo or take a new one to use as the cover photo. When other people (including standard WhatsApp user accounts) visit your business profile, they will be able to see your cover photo.
WhatsApp was spotted testing the feature on WhatsApp for iOS beta. WhatsApp is planning to introduce the same feature on WhatsApp Business for Android as well. The feature is currently under development so a release date is not known yet.
Apart from that, WhatsApp was spotted working on a new interface for voice calls. The messaging app has reportedly been working on the new interface since December 2021. The interface was previously designed for iOS as well as the Android app. However, now WhatsApp has rolled out a redesigned calling interface for the Android beta testers.
WhatsApp is not only revamping the caller interface for individual calls, but soon users will see an entirely new design for group calls as well. The screenshots show that when you place a group voice call, bring voice waveforms for all participants during the call. Wabetainfor reports that the new update is being rolled out to Android beta testers today, but more activations are planned for the coming weeks. As of now, the new interface was not spotted on the iOS beta app, but the features tracker says that WhatsApp might roll out to WhatsApp too in a future update.
