What's the fuss about Kota Factory? It's a terrible show
India Today
Kota Factory Season 2 just dropped on Netflix, albeit after a successful first season. But it is far from a 'great' show.
The best thing about Kota Factory, recently out with its second season on Netflix, after a successful first one on YouTube and TVF Play, is that each season consists of just 5 episodes that are about 40 minutes long. So you can be over with this boring, nostalgia milking why-on-earth-was-it-shot-in-black-and-white series quickly. And that's exactly what we did. Sure, everyone perhaps needs a teacher like Jeetu bhaiya (played by Jitendra Kumar), but no one needs the lectures the show delivers - especially in Season 2.
Kota Factory Season 2 had promise. It is swankier in style, minus the unabashed plugging of the education app that funded the first season (yes, we get that the product was placed because of that, but it doesn't make it any less jarring. Just like we also get why it was shot in black-and-white - because their lives are colourless, duh!). Netflix doesn't pick up something unless it sees merit in it. And then it pours money into it, to ensure results. Quite like Maheshwari Classes who'd select toppers, to begin with, to ensure their stats remain high in the JEE entrance exam. But the makers of Kota Factory failed them.

Students who appeared for the Bihar School Examination Board Class 12 exams can now access their results through multiple platforms, including the India Today Board Results page for smoother and quicker access. With heavy traffic expected on official websites, this alternative option ensures students can check their scores without delays or technical glitches.
