Wendi McLendon-Covey is clearing the air after missing the "Bridesmaids" cast reunion at this year's Oscars.
The actress took to Instagram to address her absence from the Academy Awards on March 15 after the cast of the beloved film took the stage to present the Oscars for best original score and sound.
McLendon-Covey, who played Rita, the cousin of Maya Rudolph's character Lillian in the 2011 comedy, said she skipped the awards show because she is recovering from a neck lift procedure.
"I had a neck lift last week because I'm tired of looking like a melting candle. So I had to skip the Academy Awards. No drama. Everything is fine," she wrote alongside a photo of herself wearing a chin bandage.
With the exception of McLendon-Covey, the rest of the movie's cast — Rose Byrne, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Melissa McCarthy and Ellie Kemper — reunited at the event in honor of the 15th anniversary of "Bridesmaids."
