Tamilisai Soundararajan vows to liberate Tamil Nadu from DMK's rule amid rising crime rates against women and children.
Condemning the poor law and order in Tamil Nadu, constituents of the National Democratic Alliance staged massive demonstration here on Tuesday saying that there was no safety for women and the children across the State.
Led by former Governor of Puducherry and Telengana, Tamilisai Soundararajan, the protesters raised slogans against the Tamil Nadu government and the DMK.
Addressing the protesters, Dr. Tamilisai said crimes against women and children had increased across Tamil Nadu after the DMK came to power in 2021. The perpetrators, who were under the influence of either alcohol or narcotics, were targeting the women and children and sexually assaulting them while some victims were brutally murdered.
“In the latest case from southern Tamil Nadu, a teenager from Thoothukudi district’s Kulathur area had been murdered and the police are yet to identify the criminal, which has once again caused panic in the entire Tamil Nadu, especially among women and girl children. The delayed action by the police was the prime reason behind the killing of the teenager. The upcoming Assembly election will liberate Tamil Nadu from the anarchic and pathetic rule of the DMK,” she said.
AIADMK’s Tirunelveli district secretary Thatchai N. Ganesa Raja said the inept administration of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin had led to lawlessness in every part of Tamil Nadu mainly due to the freely available drugs even in the remote corner of the State. Consequently, the innocents, mainly women and the girl children, were targeted by the drug addicts and the alcoholics, who unfortunately enjoy the backing of DMK men.
“The women, girl children, and first-time voters, who have been angered by the clumsy ruling of Mr. Stalin and consequent heinous crimes will teach him a fitting lesson through their votes,” Mr. Ganesa Raja hoped.
