Watch: Mumbai railway official saves child from getting run over in nick of time

A pointsman with the Mumbai division risked his life to save a child from being run over by a train at Vangani railway station on Saturday.

Mayur Shelkhe, who works as a pointsman with the Central Railway (Mumbai division), risked his life to save a child from being run over by a train at Vangani railway station. The incident took place around 5 pm on Saturday (April 17). A Good Samaritan:At Vangani station of Central Railway, Pointsman Mr. Mayur Shelkhe saved the life of a child just in the nick of the time. He tried climbing the platform but couldn't. Pointsman Mayur Shelkhe saw the boy on the railway track and jumped into action. He quickly pulled the child towards the platform side, just a few seconds before the train arrived there.
