The Congress termed Karnataka government's move to table a Bill aimed at protecting illegal religious structures in the state as 'vote bank politics'.
The Congress on Tuesday lashed out at the Basavaraj Bommai-led Karnataka government for tabling a Bill aimed at protecting illegal religious structures in the state.
Congress MLA NA Harris said the Karnataka Religious Structures (Protection) Bill, 2021, was tabled in the Assembly on Monday as part of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) vote-bank politics. The Bill was tabled following backlash over the demolition of a temple in Nanjangud of Mysuru.
