Volkswagen India confirmed the Taigun SUV will be launched in the country next month on September 23, 2021. The Skoda Kushaq sibling, and Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos rival will be priced aggressively in India, and recently rolled off its production line from Volkswagen India’s Chakan plant in Pune, Maharashtra. The new Volkswagen Taigun is the first product under Volkswagen India’s SUVW product portfolio for India, and will be competing in the mid-size SUV segment. Built on the MQB-A0-IN platform, the Taigun boasts an appealing design, while the interior offers a feeling of space, air and light. The Volkswagen Taigun has a striking front end with generous chrome applied on the front grille, whereas the new Volkswagen logo sits between the grille, and is one of the first locally manufactured products in India to carry the new logo. The LED matrix headlamps with daytime running lights can be individually switched off and dimmed. The higher stance is complemented by the 17-inch alloy wheels which contribute to the Taigun’s overall appearance. The wide C-shaped continuous LED tail lamp marks a strong rear end design, and adds to the overall aesthetics of the Taigun SUV.
