Volkswagen is gearing up to reveal the refreshed Volkswagen Taigun on April 9, bringing updated styling, enhanced features and a new gearbox option to boost its appeal.
Volkswagen is set to unveil the updated Volkswagen Taigun on April 9, marking the SUV’s first major refresh since its 2021 launch. The facelift is expected to bring a sharper design language, feature upgrades and a revised gearbox option, aimed at strengthening its position in the competitive midsize SUV segment.
Spy shots of the facelifted Taigun hint at a more contemporary look, borrowing cues from newer international models like the Volkswagen Tayron. Up front, the SUV is likely to feature slimmer LED headlamps connected by a light bar, along with the possibility of an illuminated Volkswagen badge. Volkswagen Taigun facelift (Photo: (91Wheels)
The grille and bumpers have been reworked for a sportier appearance, while at the rear, the connected LED tail-lamps are expected to get a revised lighting signature. A chunkier silver skid plate and reduced chrome detailing could lend the SUV a slightly more rugged stance. The side profile, however, will largely remain unchanged, aside from a fresh set of alloy wheels.
Inside, the Taigun facelift is expected to receive a noticeable boost in technology and comfort. Updates could include a larger touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster, likely measuring around 10.25 inches.
Volkswagen may also introduce new upholstery themes and trim finishes to freshen up the cabin ambience. Features such as powered and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof and enhanced air-conditioning performance with a variable-geometry compressor are anticipated.
There is also a possibility of rear-seat massage functionality—already seen on the Skoda Kushaq, though its inclusion in the Taigun remains unconfirmed.
