The TRAI has released the subscriber addition data for February 2021. Airtel, Jio and Vi have added subscribers in February 2021.
Vodafone Idea or Vi, for the first time, has seen subscriber additions since October 2019. The telco has recorded over 6 lakh subscriber additions in February 2021. Vodafone had mistakenly registered subscriber additions for January 2021, noting that it had added 1.7 million subscribers in January. The telco later acknowledged its error in reporting the previous numbers. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) had noted that the error was inadvertent and the corrected data showed it actually lost 22.83 lakh subscribers.
