Vodafone Idea loses over 40 lakh subscribers in June, BSNL adds maximum wired broadband users

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released subscriber data for June 2021. The data shows that Vodafone Idea has lost nearly 43 lakh subscribers in June 2021. Airtel and Jio both have gained subscribers and have added 38,12,530 and 54,66,556 users respectively. Vodafone Idea is desperately trying to increase its ARPU by introducing new offers unique to the telco. The total wireless subscribers increased from 1,176.84 million at the end of May 2021 to 1,180.83 million at the end of June 2021, recording a monthly growth rate of 0.34 per cent.
