
Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayagan’ leaked online: KVN Productions initiate probe

Hours after Tamil superstar Vijay’s Jana Nayaganreportedlygot leaked online in High Definition (HD), the movie’s production house, KVN Productions, has reacted to the development. Directed by H Vinoth, Jana Nayagan is billed as Vijay’s final movie before he fully shifts focus on politics.
KVN Productions, helmed by Venkat K Narayana, issued a press release, stating that “strict civil and criminal proceedings will be pursued against every offender without exception.” Jana Nayagan has been delayed due to dispute over its censor certification, preventing its planned Pongal 2026 release.
“It has come to our notice that certain scenes and clips from Jana Nayagan and in some cases, most of the movie, have been illegally accessed, copied and circulated by unidentified persons, posing a serious threat of digital piracy,” said the press release from KVN.
“Evert digital action is traceable, and we have already initiated necessary investigations including forensic investigations and complaints against persons involved and are actively identifying all others in the chain of circulation.”

The makers of Jana Nayagan alsoissued an official statement through their legal counsel, Vijayan Subramanian, as well. The statement noted that “the film has been produced by investing several hundred crores and the film carries enormous theatrical, satellite, OTT and commercial value.”
