The incident took place on February 7 at Chandan One Marriage Garden in the Jagatpura area, where the wedding celebrations of Naveen Karol were underway.
In a brazen theft that unfolded amid celebration and ceremony, a man posing as a wedding guest allegedly stole the bride’s bag during a reception in Jaipur — only to have his actions captured live on a hired photographer’s camera. The bag contained jewellery and cash valued at approximately Rs 4 lakh.
The incident took place on February 7 at Chandan One Marriage Garden in the Jagatpura area, where the wedding celebrations of Naveen Karol were underway.
According to the complaint filed with the police, the bride and groom were on stage for a photoshoot around 10:15 pm when the theft occurred.
Amid the crowd of guests gathered near the stage, a man dressed smartly and carrying a blazer blended in without raising suspicion.
Video footage later revealed that the suspect calmly approached the stage, picked up the bride’s bag within seconds, concealed it inside his blazer, and walked away into the crowd, leaving no immediate signs of any wrongdoing.
The act went unnoticed at the time, as family members and guests remained engaged in the ceremony and photography. It was only after the photoshoot that the bride realised her bag was missing.

India on Monday said it has not held bilateral talks with the United States on deploying naval vessels to secure merchant shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The clarification came after US President Donald Trump urged countries to send warships to keep the strategic waterway open amid tensions with Iran.
