Senior leaders of the VCK on Sunday told The Hindu that the demonstrations over Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s remarks on B.R. Ambedkar would continue in the State, as they were yet to receive any “satisfactory response”.
“We have demanded his [the Union Minister’s] apology and resignation for his comments. But, so far, Mr. Shah has not given a satisfactory response. Therefore, our protests will continue. VCK president Thol. Thirumavalavan will take a call on this issue,” they said.
Sources in the VCK said the party mobilised its cadre in every district of the State, and organised protests against Mr. Shah. “We organised these protests even at the village level,” they added.
