The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has submitted a medical summary of the Elgar Parishad case accused Varavara Rao to the Bombay High Court. Rao had filed a petition seeking extension of medical bail granted to him by the High Court in April this year.

However, his vital parameters seemed to be in the normal range and the remaining clinical examination showed no significant abnormalities.

In 2025, the Mizoram CM said Ukraine war veterans were using the state to enter Myanmar. The arrest of 7 foreign nationals by the NIA has prompted experts to suggest that the incidents might be connected.
