BJP leader Smriti Irani on Monday hit out at Akhilesh Yadav, wondering why the Samajwadi Party president was seeking who had "insulted" the people of Uttar Pradesh.
While addressing a poll programme fro the in , the Union Minister claimed Mr. Yadav's reach out to Ms. Banerjee was an indication that he is "not getting people's support on his own strength".
Ms. Irani claimed Mr. Yadav was seeking support from Ms. Banerjee despite her insulting the traditions, culture and food habits of the people of Uttar Pradesh.
