A US man shared how his golden retriever gave him the perfect first impression as a calm, well-behaved puppy, only to completely flip the script later, in a video that has left the internet in splits.
The clip, posted by The Moriarty Family on Instagram, introduced the man's dog Bauer as the kind of puppy anyone would instantly fall in love with, quiet, composed, and almost too good to be true.
In the opening snippets, Bauer was seen as a tiny pup, sitting still, looking innocent, and behaving like the most disciplined dog one could ask for. His expressions were soft, his movements gentle, everything about him screamed, “easy dog.”
But then the video cut, and everything changed.
The later clips showed a completely different side of Bauer. From casually stealing food right in front of his owner, to showing up covered head-to-toe in mud, the once “perfect puppy” was now pure chaos on four legs.
At one moment, he was seen sprinting around wildly as his owners try (and fail) to catch him. In another, he appeared to have wreaked havoc on a Christmas tree, leaving behind a mess that spoke for itself. There’s even a clip where he disrupted a peaceful pool moment, pulling at an inflatable as his owner struggled to stay afloat.
