The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Sunday conducted the civil services (Preliminary) examination 2025 in two shifts — first from 9.30 am and the next from 2.30 pm. The entry to the centre closed 30 minutes prior to the start of the exam. Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad visited two examination centres – Vignan Engineering College at Duvvada, and Kendriya Vidyalayam at Akkayyapalem in the city to inspect the arrangements. The Commission had issued admit cards on May 13 on its official website at upsc.gov.in.

In a surprising turn of events, Urvashi theatre, one of Bengaluru’s iconic single screens, has re-opened, with the much-talked-about Dhurandhar: The Revenge running to a full house in the theatre. After the expiry of the 45-year lease, it seemed like curtains would come down on the king-size theatre but for now, it’s good news for fans.
