Hyderabad witnessed the celebration of Bihar Foundation Day at Lok Bhavan on Sunday, March 22 with Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla attending as chief guest.
The Governor paid tribute to the leaders and people of Bihar for their role in shaping the State and contributing to the nation’s development. Referring to its historical legacy, he recalled ancient centres of learning such as Nalanda and Vikramshila, as well as Bodh Gaya, where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment, underscoring Bihar’s enduring influence on India’s intellectual and spiritual traditions.
A video message from the Governor of Bihar was screened during the programme. The celebrations also featured cultural performances, including traditional dance and artistic presentations.
