
UP schools to remain closed till January 30

Uttar Pradesh government has decided to keep the schools in the state shut till January 30 while online classes will continue.
Uttar Pradesh schools will remain closed till January 30, 2022, in order to curb the spread of Covid-19 and Omicron. Earlier, schools and colleges were shut till January 16 and later were extended till January 23. However, due to the ongoing situation of the rising number of Covid-19 cases, the date has been further extended to January 30, 2022. Uttar Pradesh government has asked schools to continue with online classes.
On January 5, the Uttar Pradesh government took a late-night decision to close its schools for students up to Class 10 from January 6 to January 16, due to a sudden increase in the number of Covid-19 cases. While physical classes were closed, online classes continued as per the schedule.
Earlier, the state government kept the vaccination centres open for students between the age group of 15 and 18. Perhaps the process will continue.
