A video shared by a UK-based man has gone viral after he shared a heartwarming experience from the streets of Mysore, describing it as one of the most memorable moments of his trip to India.
An artist from the UK visited Mysore while touring India and walked away with a lesson in generosity after a stranger offered him biryani on the roadside and refused to take any money for it.
“I was told to prepare myself for India, but nobody prepared me for this,” Lepani said in his post on Instagram as he documented his experience in a video that has now gone viral on social media.
Along with his companions, Lepani was walking down a busy street in Mysore when a fragrant aroma caught their attention. Across the road, a man stood behind a “giant cooking pot,” smiling warmly and waving enthusiastically as he ladled out spoonfuls of biryani for people.
“I was hesitant at first, but we made our way over anyway,” he said. When he asked how much a plate would cost, the vendor replied, “Don’t worry, just eat,” before serving him what he described as the biggest plate of biryani. Another man added chicken curry on top as he stood by the roadside, eating alongside locals.
He called it “some of the best (and filling) biryani I’ve ever had in my life.”

On March 18, Israel struck a gas field in Iran. Tehran responded in a matter of hours, striking refineries in several Gulf countries. What explains this sharp, quick counter-attack capability of a country whose military infrastructure has supposedly been severely degraded? The answer lies in a cheap drone and a dispersed military.
