A man surprised his mother by arranging a meeting with her childhood cricket hero, turning a simple day out at the gym into something she clearly wasn’t prepared for.
Shared by Harshit Chajjed on his Instagram account, he documented how he planned the surprise as part of his mother’s bucket list, keeping the biggest detail hidden until the very last moment.
In the video, he began by telling viewers that he was about to surprise his mother with someone she had admired for years. The scene then shifted to a gym, where he casually walked her in, with no hint of what was about to happen. She looks around, unaware, until suddenly, Jonty Rhodes walked into the frame.
Her reaction was immediate and unfiltered. She froze for a second, her expression shifting into disbelief before her face lit up completely. Almost instinctively, she turned to her son, squealing, “My hero,” unable to process what had just happened.
Rhodes stepped forward and warmly hugged her, and she leaned into the moment, still smiling, clearly overwhelmed. As they spoke, she told him she had been a huge fan since she was 15, her voice carrying both excitement and a kind of long-held admiration finally finding its moment.
Harshit then joined them, explaining how his mother had always spoken about Rhodes and how much she looked up to him. The interaction continued naturally, with Rhodes listening, smiling, and signing one of her jerseys, handing it back as a keepsake. Before parting, he gave her another hug, the moment lingering just a little longer.

On March 18, Israel struck a gas field in Iran. Tehran responded in a matter of hours, striking refineries in several Gulf countries. What explains this sharp, quick counter-attack capability of a country whose military infrastructure has supposedly been severely degraded? The answer lies in a cheap drone and a dispersed military.
