A UK travel vlogger shared a detailed video of his first Delhi Metro experience, praising the system's affordability, cleanliness, and modern facilities.
A UK man documented his journey on the Delhi Metro, showing each step of the experience from security checks to the train ride itself through a detailed video shared on social media.
Rory Porter, a travel vlogger from the United Kingdom, shared the video on Instagram, giving viewers a firsthand look at what using the capital’s metro system is like from a traveller’s perspective.
In the video, he is first seen standing on a Delhi Metro platform, where he explains the entry process while pointing his camera toward the baggage scanning area.
“Go through a security thing, you have to put your bag in, it all gets x-rayed, just as if like you're going through airport security,” he says, visually showing the setup. He then talks about the fare, adding, “Okay, so just 43 rupees. I think it's a half an hour journey, so very very cheap. Probably one of the cheapest train or metros I've been on in the world.”
As the train arrives, Porter turns the camera toward the silver metro coaches and boards while continuing to film the interiors. “They look very good, very modern. I think this is us. Very clean indeed, smells very nice. Lots of seats,” he says, panning across the carriage to show the seating and layout.
He also points out the relatively low crowd levels, saying, “Extremely modern, I mean, look at this, it's not very overcrowded either. There's plenty of seats, there's no one really standing up.”
