Two years since Article 370 abrogation: 5 terror incidents in Kashmir; PDP protests as BJP celebrates

On the two-year anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370, J&K reported multiple cases of terror incidents. BJP leaders, on the other hand, celebrated the day by hoisting the national flag at multiple places.

Five cases of terror, protests by PDP and the celebration by BJP marked the second anniversary of the abrogation of Jammu and Kashmir's special status on Thursday. Opposition parties in the Kashmir valley, however, vowed to strive for restoration of the previous status. A meeting was held at the residence of National Conference president Farooq Abdullah by People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) to assess the situation arising in Jammu and Kashmir two years after the Centre made amendments to the Constitution to revoke the special status of the erstwhile state and bifurcate it into two union territories.
