Two Xiaomi phones, likely Mix 5 and Mix 5 Pro, spotted on certification website

Codenames for two new Xiaomi phones made the rounds on the Internet last week. While it was assumed that they referred to the Xiaomi 12 series, a new report completely changes that notion.

Breaking the streak of speculations around the Xiaomi 12 series phones is the recent listing of new Xiaomi Mix devices. Two new Mix models have been spotted on Chinese certification websites and are now being touted as the successors of Xiaomi's Mix series of phones. Since these are the fifth iterations, the phones assumably belong to the Mix 5 series.

These findings were shared online earlier, wherein the Xiaomi phones were spotted under the code names Loki and Thor. At the time, it was speculated that the phones belonged to the Xiaomi 12 series. The flagship series by the company is expected to debut sometime next month. However, new information on the internet suggests that the Loki and Thor code names referred to two other Xiaomi phones.
