The impact of the explosion was such that the house was completely damaged.
Two persons were injured and the house they were living in was completely damaged due to an explosion at Kittaganahalli in Bommasandra in Surya City police station limits in Bengaluru on January 6.
The duo — Vishwa and Sunil — sustained serious burn injuries and were admitted to the ICU of a private hospital.
The duo are working at a private hospital and stay in a rented house. While one of them was taking a bath, the other switched on the light, which triggered the explosion due to suspected gas leak.
The impact of the explosion was such that the house was completely damaged. The walls and pillars of the house collapsed. The bricks and debris flew in different directions, damaging three cars and six motorcycles parked on the road below, and the walls and windows of adjacent houses.
The Surya City police, along with fire and emergency service personnel, rushed to the spot. They removed the debris before initiating a probe to ascertain the cause of the explosion.
